Description

An etching/ engraving of David Gloxin by Peter de Jode (II) and published in around 1650.

The image is taken from a series of portraits of the delegates at the signing of the Westphalian Peace Treaty in 1648, in the cities of Osnabruck and Munster.

David Gloxin, a party to the signing of the treaty, was a lawyer by trade and the Mayor of Lubeck in the then Westphalia.
