A line engraving by Michael Burghers published in c1674 of Sir Thomas Bodley (centre), founder of the Bodleian Library, Oxford University, William Laud (The Archbishop of Canterbury 1633-45), Sir Kenelm Digby (a philosopher and a founding member of The Royal Society), William Herbert III Earl of Pembroke, one time Chancellor of The University of Oxford and the founder of Pembroke College Oxford) and John Seldon (a respected scholar, political philosopher and prolific writer, whose own library becoming part of the Bodleian Library, Oxford in 1659).
